How we review

What our review measures

Public state records and what a business publishes about itself, matched by software and fact-checked as far as those sources allow. Star ratings are not part of it. Every check names its source, and its date wherever the record holds one.

  • License, tied to the service and location 15
  • Discipline history 10
  • Entity age 5
  • Presence in the city 10
  • Website names its services and the cities it serves 5

Nobody can pay to rank

Ads sit outside the list in a box that says Advertisement. The ranking reads the scores and nothing else, so buying an ad cannot move anyone up.

How a business gets reviewed

  1. Match the business to a Florida regulator record and confirm the license class.
  2. Check that the named license holder works at this location.
  3. Read the discipline file and record every final action with its case number.
  4. Look up its Florida business registry filing and whether it is still active.
  5. Read what its own website says about its services and the cities it serves.
  6. Print the source and date of each check on the card.
